As a joint event the Ugelstad Laboratory at NTNU and PFI invite you to:

Surface and Colloid Chemistry of Papermaking

Course given by Per Stenius, Laboratory of Forest Products Chemistry

Helsinki University of Technology

P.O. Box 6300, 02015 HUT, Finland

www.hut.fi/Units/Forestpc, email per.stenius@hut.fi, phone +358 9 4514233

Aim

The aim of the course is to give an overview of the surface and colloid chemistry involved in papermaking processes. Rather than giving a full coverage of all aspects of this vast topic, an attempt is made to give in-depth lectures on selected topics of particular interest to those involved in papermaking research and development in Norway. The course is intended to be useful to anyone interested in the chemistry of pulping and papermaking; some previous knowledge of surface and colloid chemistry will be helpful.
